this is our human footprint 0:48 this is our world a finite place of infinite possibilities0:54 it's been around for over three point eight billion years0:59 if we think of the earth has being one day old1:02 than we'd been around for just a few seconds1:08 Yet with over six million of us on the planet our presence is earth shaking1:13 as individuals we may think we have little impact on the world around us1:17 we may feel that our contribution to the rule goes unnoticed we'd be wrong1:22 each of us makes a contribution, we each make an impact1:27 we each leave a footprint1:30 And by examining everything1:32 we consume across the country1:34 we've been able to calculate the effect we each make it on the world1:37 around us1:39 The miles we each drive, the waste we throw away, the gasoline we use1:45 quantities the numbers that revealed the1:48 each of us makes per person, per lifetime.... | |
